Large chute
Saves preparation time because you don’t have to cut up the fruits into smaller pieces. I really like my Breville because it has a 3-inch wide chute!
Dishwasher safe
Some juicers have removable parts that are dishwasher safe so that you can clean them easily. For lazy people like me, the juicer must be at least easy to clean even if not dishwasher safe.
Clear juice container
Usually centrifugal juicers have a clear juice container with volume markings so that you can measure how much juice you make.
Pulp ejection
Some juicers eject the pulp into a separate container for easier cleaning. You only have to empty that container. This feature is usually not found in centrifugal juicers, which takes a little more work to clean up.
Safety lock lid
The juicer won’t start unless you click the lid on securely. I think the safety features are pretty important, even though a gadget with many safety features may be a bit troublesome to use, but at least they save you trouble cleaning up careless messes afterwards. Most juicers have non-slip base and some have a drip cup to catch the remaining juice.
Speeds
Some juicers come with two speeds. If you like to juice both soft and hard fruits, this is a great feature. Slow speed is for the soft fruits and high speed for hard fruits. This will help get the most out of the fruits.
Metal or plastic?
Some juicers have a metal body but some have a plastic body. A few of the models come in both versions. Some people would choose metal body because the plastic ones look a bit flimsy and breakable, but some prefer plastic body if only because it is lighter and easier to move around. I guess it depends on personal preference because not all plastic ones are really flimsy and of bad quality.
Warranty period
Check for your juicer’s warranty! The manufacturer’s customer service should have a good reputation too, as you wouldn’t want to talk to unhelpful people when you’re already upset over a broken part.

Slim, elegant-looking professional citrus juicer is what I would describe this Hamilton Beach 932 as. This tall (20”) citrus juicer is the cream of manual juicers with that friendly lever and simple design to get you the most out of a citrus fruit.

I really like it that the strainer has a lot of little holes all around so the juice gets through without trouble. The pulp can be collected and left out or put into the juice afterwards as you like. Many users have commented that less citrus oil is tasted in the juice so the juice is not bitter at all, and I realized this is the case too.
This Hamilton Beach 932 takes no time to clean and keeps your countertop spotless with its drip cup. When you remove the juice glass, the drip cup will swing into place to prevent any remainder of the juice staining your countertop. I find it very easy to disassemble too.
One thing to note is that this citrus juicer is really tall and not suitable for using or storing under your kitchen cabinets. Although this gadget is rather light and can be easily carried around, if you don’t have the space, you might just regret it.
A couple of reviewers said that the Hamilton Beach 923 seems breakable if you press too hard on the lever, but it hasn’t been a problem for me because I think it works really well getting all the juice out of the fruits even when I’m not pressing very hard.
If you like fresh fruit juice from citrus fruits such as lemons, limes, oranges, and even grapefruits, without the white stuff in it, this is a pretty good juicer to get.
